Karen Utley brings a wealth of compassion and professionalism to her role as a funeral assistant at Ronk Funeral Home. Married to Butch Utley for 42 years, Karen and Butch have a son, Kyle Utley. Her extensive background in health care and administration reflects her lifelong dedication to serving others.

Prior to joining Ronk Funeral Home, Karen served as Vice President for West Tennessee Health Care. She has also excelled as a nursing home administrator, hospital administrator, and registered nurse. Her exceptional leadership and caring nature have always been at the forefront of her career.

Karen graduated from Gadsden High School before earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Union University. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master’s in Health Care Administration from the University of Memphis. She now applies her skills and warm presence to greeting families and assisting during visitations and funerals.

An active member of the Crockett County Exchange Club, Karen is deeply involved in her community. She attends First Baptist Church in Alamo and is a passionate advocate for mobile food distribution through the Crockett Cares food pantry. In her free time, Karen enjoys traveling, camping, riding motorcycles, and going on mission trips. Her faith is central to her life, and she finds joy in volunteering, attending devotional groups, and worshiping her Lord, Jesus Christ.
