Ronk Funeral Home has been a cornerstone of compassionate service in the Crockett County community since 1935. Our story begins with Almo Lee Ronk, a dedicated young man from Good Luck, Tennessee. As a boy, Almo developed a passion for funeral service while assisting a local funeral director. After marrying Rebecca Culp in 1933, Almo pursued his calling by graduating from the Gupton-Jones School of Embalming. Together, the Ronks transformed their home into a place of solace and support, founding Ronk Funeral Home.
Over the decades, Almo and Rebecca set the standard for care and professionalism. Almo was known for his unwavering commitment to families, always ensuring that funerals ran on time and treating every family with dignity and respect. Rebecca shared in his dedication while also creating a warm, supportive environment through her talents and kindness. Their efforts shaped the legacy of Ronk Funeral Home as not just a business, but a ministry of service to others.
Almo’s son, Samuel Lee Ronk, followed in his father’s footsteps, taking over the firm and continuing the family’s tradition of compassionate care. After his tenure, the torch was passed to Samuel Lee Ronk Jr., who brought his own dedication and expertise to the business. Today, Samuel Lee Ronk Jr. operates the funeral home alongside his son, Samuel Lee Ronk III, ensuring the values and traditions established by Almo and Rebecca continue to guide Ronk Funeral Home into the future.
We are proud to be a family-owned and operated funeral home, dedicated to serving our community with the same passion, respect, and care that began with Almo and Rebecca over 90 years ago.
