Wyatt Wimberley

–

Friendship, Tennessee

Wyatt Edward Wimberley, known by most everyone as Pops, was born on October 30, 1955, in Hayti, Missouri. Pops life was filled with a spirited passion for sports, NASCAR, and most importantly, his family. His love for his home state of Missouri was evident in his unwavering support for all its sports teams. If he wasn't watching a sporting event you would find him sitting at the kitchen table with something to drink and listening to his favorite rock and roll songs. Pops, who was known for his habit of assigning nicknames to everyone he met whether they wanted it or not, passed away on November 2, 2025, leaving a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Pops was a devoted husband to his wife Janet and a loving father to his children: Wyatt Wimberley II, Cory Black, William Black, Wendy Brimm (Billy Jr.), Robin Bonds, and Sarah Wimberley. He also leaves behind twenty grandkids and 11 great grandkids, who he adored immensely. His brothers Larry Wimberley (Nenia) and Andy Wimberley (Angie) also mourn his loss.

In addition to being a loving family man, Pops was a dedicated truck driver with FedEx before his retirement. His life was a testament to his hard work, dedication, and love for family. Pops was preceded in death by his parents Billy and Dorothy Wimberley, and his siblings Deborah, David, Jeff, and Allison Wimberley.

The visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 5:00pm at Ronk Funeral Home, 106 South Bells Street, Alamo, Tennessee, 38001. The funeral service will follow on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 2:00pm at the same location. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and celebrate the life of Pops.

We invite all who knew Wyatt to leave their memories of him and upload photos to the memorial page. His personality was larger than life, and we would love to share your experiences and stories about our beloved Pops.
