Wade Joyner

Wade Douglas Joyner died at his home August 21, 2023, at the age of 78. Douglas was born July 27, 1945 to Thomas and Louella Joyner. Douglas retired from General Metals as a machinist after several years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Louella Joyner, wife Carolyn Joyner, daughters; Lisa Mayfield, Melissa Joyner, brothers; Tom Richard Joyner, Billy Dean Joyner, Larry Joyner, and brother-law- Gary Hayes.

Douglas is survived by his son, Phillip Joyner, sisters; Paulette Hayes, Martha Sweeney (Larry), Linda Morris, Rita Shappley, (Dewayne),Grandchildren; Samantha Jones (Brandon), Adam Willis (Kimberly), Cloie Joyner, Cheyenne Joyner, Great Grandchildren; Christian Rhines, Jacob Rhines, Kaylee Whitten, Drake Willis, Brylan Climer, Hunter Willis and one Great-Great-Grandchild Callan Rhines,

Pallbearers are Adam Willis, Jacob Rhines, Christian Rhines, Thomas Woods, Jason Woods, and Laman Garrett.

Graveside services for Douglas will be Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Friendship Cemetery in Friendship, Tennessee. Family will be receiving friends at the Gadsden Church of Christ immediately following the service for a meal.
