Halls, Tennessee
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Tommy Joe Reece, a loving and dedicated father, grandfather, and friend to all whose lives he touched. He left us peacefully on November 22, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on December 19, 1950, in Halls, TN, Tommy was a man of many talents, known for his ability to fix or build just about anything. He was a retired construction worker from Ford Construction and held a deep love for history, particularly that of the Civil War and World War II. His love for gardening and working outdoors was only surpassed by his love for his family and grandbabies.
Tommy is survived by his children, Christy Colburn and Timothy Reece (Tracy); his lifelong companion, Mildred McCaslin; his sister, Jannette Holland (Kenny); his grandchildren, Jacob Reece, Rachael Speer, Dylan Colburn, Madyson Colburn, Zaylee McLaughlin (Jake), Ayiden Brown, and Carllee George (Justin); and his great-grandchildren, Ella, Paisley, River, Fisher, Willa, Porter, and Reid. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Lois Reece, and his brother, Vernon Reece Jr.
Matthew 5:4 tells us, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." As we remember Tommy, we know that he will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Visitation will be held at Ronk Funeral Home, located at 106 South Bells Street, Alamo, Tennessee, 38001, on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 12:00pm until 2:00pm. The funeral service will follow at the same location at 2:00pm with burial to follow in Bellevernon Cemetery.
We invite you to leave your memories of Tommy and upload photos to his memorial page as a way to celebrate his life. His love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his talents will continue to inspire us all.
