Rebecca Thomas

She was born on March 28, 1939, in Trenton, TN to the late William & Elsie Cowan Walters. Rebecca enjoyed many things in life but was particularly fond of sewing, gardening, and her flowers. She loved raising her family and being with her kids and grandchildren anytime she could.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Alamo City Cemetery conducted by Bro. John Thomas Sr.

Survivors include her Six sons, Marty G. Walters of Alamo, TN, Tony Thomas (Rhonda) of Alamo, TN, John Thomas Sr. (Nova) of Gadsden, TN, Anthony Thomas (Cindi) of Gadsden, TN, Richard "Rooster" Thomas (Teresa) of Alamo, TN and Daryel Thomas (Melodee) of Alamo, TN; one brother, Donnie Walters (Ann) of Lexington, TN; two sisters, Kay Fry (Doug) of Collierville, TN and Wanda Sue Grabe of Alamo, TN; 14 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her four brothers, Alvin Henry Walters, Thomas Walters, Roger Gene Walters, Daniel Walters; and one great-great grandson, baby Thomas.

Honoring Rebecca as pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
