Phillip Harold Park

–

Alamo, Tennessee

Phillip Harold Park, 59, of Friendship, TN, joined his Heavenly Father on January 5, 2019. Phil was born Dec 10, 1959 to his parents, Harold and Becky Park of Friendship, TN. Phil served as Assistant Chief of police in Alamo. He also served the Crockett County Sheriff's Department for many years prior to that. Before becoming a police officer, Phil worked with his father on the family farm, and also pursued his love of the outdoors in working as a Strike King Rep and hunting guide, as well as for Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency. He enjoyed time with his family, children and grandchildren, as well as serving and protecting the citizens of his community. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and a Free Mason of the Alamo Lodge #164.
Funeral Services for Phil will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 11, 2019, at the Alamo First Christian Church with Jay Hutchens, Trevor Sewell, and Stephen Sutton officiating. Interment with honors will follow at the Bellevernon Cemetery in Friendship, TN. Visitation will be held, Thursday, January 10, 2019, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Alamo First Christian Church.
Phil is preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Gertrude Park, Eldon "Nig" and Polly Clark, and a grandson Jayse Park Moore.
Phil is survived by his parents, Harold and Becky Park of Friendship, His two daughters Phyllis (Anthony) Moore of Cypress, Elizabeth Ann Park of Friendship. His sisters, Donedia (Lee) Harris, Cristy (Scotty) Evans. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Ashton Tritt, Anna Harber, Allie Harber, Jaxon and Kason Moore, who loved their "Popa" and getting to spend time with him. They were truly his world. In addition to these people, Phil leaves behind many nieces, a nephew, and close family and friends who will miss him and his impeccable sense of humor.
Phil enjoyed everything outdoors, spending time with family, and serving others. He was truly an inspiration and an example of what it means to "Never Give Up". Following his recent illness, he was driven and dedicated to get better, although God's plan was greater than ours. He worked hard his entire life to accomplish his goals and to take care of his family. While he may not be walking on this earth, we are certain that he is walking the streets in Heaven, and continuing to watch over us all.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NOAH, Crockett County Carl Perkins Center for Prevention of Child Abuse, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
