Monty Barrett

Monty Dale Barrett, a talented and dedicated man, was born on February 2, 1985, in Jackson, Tennessee, USA, and left us on November 29, 2024. Throughout his life, Monty was a beacon of hard work and dedication, working diligently as a Tire Technician at Steagal Tires. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm," a sentiment that Monty carried throughout his life, whether he was at work, playing his guitar, or fishing—his favorite pastime.

Monty was deeply loved by his family and friends, who were without a doubt what mattered most to him. He is survived by his mother, Cindy Mooney; his children, Andrew Barrett, Selena Buchanan (Dakota Close), Natalie Shadow, and Emily Tucker; his siblings, Steven Mooney (Jennifer) and Ashley Mooney; his granddaughter, Huntley Close; and his fiancé Sabrina Rainey. Monty was preceded in death by his father, Monty Patterson.

Monty's legacy of love, hard work, and dedication will continue to live on through his family and the many lives he touched. As we remember Monty, let us reflect on the words of William Penn, "Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day." Cremation services are under the direction of Ronk Funeral Home, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
