Monna Ruth Patterson Jenkins "Nannie" Obituary (1934

Funeral Services for Monna Ruth Patterson Jenkins "Nannie", 86, will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Ronk Funeral Home with Stephen Sutton officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. until time of service Friday. Ms. Jenkins passed away peacefully at her home on March 23, 2021. She was born on September 1, 1934 to her late parents, William Robert Patterson and Annie Ruth Case Patterson. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 35 years R.C. "Floppy" Jenkins; niece, Elaine Ball; and brother-in-law, Billy Jenkins (Sara). Surviving relatives include her son, Roger Jenkins (Edna); daughter, Donna Hart (Jason); sister, Sue Rhodes (Regie); grandchildren, Barry Mosier (Tonya), Cynthia Green (Lee), Chad Jenkins, Scott Jenkins, Katie Hart (Clayton), Madison Cross (Ryan), Aiden Hart, Ethan Hart; great grandchildren, Haley Mosier, Zachary Mosier, Gunner Mosier, Sadie Strough (Dakota), Sophie Green, Sallie Green; Lexi Jenkins, Bella Jenkins, Lila Jenkins; Bryson August, Brooks Click, Cori Cross; one great great granddaughter, Millie Strough; nieces, Sharon Rhodes, Linda Rhodes, Debra Revelle (Hal); and nephew, Buddy Jenkins. Ms. Jenkins graduated from West Tennessee Business College with a Certification in Legal Administration. She then worked for lawyer, Jack Woodall for several years until she gained a new title of wife and mother. All because of a blind date R.C. and Monna married three months later to start an endlessly growing family. First child, Roger was born in 1959. Years later Jesus came to Monna and touched R.C. and Monna's soul to start foster care in 1976. They fostered over 100 children across West Tennessee. Of those children, R.C. and Monna adopted Donna in 1981. Monna always said she carried Roger in her belly, and Donna in her heart. Ms. Jenkins whole entire life, she has been selfless, a faithful Christian, a loving caretaker and a Nannie to all. This precious Godly woman, who now is rejoicing in her heavenly home with Jesus, will be greatly missed.
