Malvin Carvin Pitts Jr., lovingly known as Carvin, passed away on the 13th of February, 2024, just 5 days past his 63rd birthday. Born in Jackson, TN, on the 8th of February, 1961, Malvin was a lifelong resident of Bells, Tennessee. A dedicated farmer by profession, Carvin worked tirelessly to improve his land and provide for his family. His hard work and dependability were attributes that not just defined his career but his life as a whole.
Carvin was a loving husband to his wife of 40 years, Marcia Lee Pitts and a proud father to Malvin Carvin Pitts III (Katie), Tasha Lee Mosier (Jeffery), and Lucy Marie Hollis (Brad). Nothing mattered more to him than taking care of his family, especially his cherished grandchildren: Kaleigh, Cooper, Mason, Luella, Savannah, Aniston, Scarlet, and Charlotte. Malvin was predeceased by his parents, Malvin and Joyce Pitts. He was a beloved figure in his community, a man who valued hard work, family, and tradition above all else. It was said best by Ralph Waldo Emerson, "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." Carvin Pitts lived well and made a difference in the lives of those he loved.
Visitation will be on Friday, 16th February 2024 from 9:00am at Ronk Funeral Home in Alamo, TN. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am at the same location and will be officiated by Stephen Sutton. To honor his wishes Carvin will be laid to rest during a private burial on his farm in Bells.
We encourage those who knew Carvin to share their memories and upload photos to his memorial page. Your stories and pictures will keep his loving spirit alive in our hearts.
