Lilly Christine Chambers Obituary (1930 - 2019)

Funeral Services for Ms. Lilly Chambers,88, will be held at First Baptist Church, Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Ronk Funeral Home. Chris Rigby and Stephen Sutton will be officiating. Ms. Chambers was born June 1, 1930 to Joe and Sellie Selph. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carroll Frank Chambers; and son, Scott Chambers. Surviving relatives include son, Ricky Chamber (Dawn); daughter, Vicky Richards; daughter-in-law, Lisa Chambers; sister, Dorothy Farmer; and grandchildren, Emily Richards, Becca Whitby (Jordan), Katie Chambers, Cole Chambers, Caroline Chambers, Nik Chambers (Victoria), Ellee Chambers. "Miss Lilly" owned and operated Chambers Day Care in Alamo for nearly 40 years. Countless children climbed on the jungle gym, swung on the swings and played chase in the back yard. She thought of and loved every child she kept as her own. Pallbearers: Cole Chambers, Jordan Whitby, Tyler Mosier, Travis Mosier, Freddie Garlin, and David Richards. Honorary Pallbearers: Nik Chambers and T. Mosier. The family would like to thank the Crockett County Nursing Home staff for their care and compassion for Ms. Lilly during her stay.
