Leslie Ann Hooten, a loving and thoughtful woman, passed away quietly on August 2, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Born on May 19, 1972, in Dyersburg, TN, Leslie lived a life full of dedication to her family, spending her time creating cherished memories with her loved ones. Her supportive nature extended not only to her family but also to her community during her time working at Marvin Windows.
Leslie was a woman of simple and honest pleasures; her love for the outdoors found her hunting and fishing, while her love for creativity saw her sewing and crafting beautiful pieces. She was an avid yard sale enthusiast, always on the lookout for the next hidden gem. In the words of Helen Keller, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." This quote truly embodies Leslie's approach to life, as she treasured her family and grandchildren above all else.
Leslie was married to her beloved husband, Chuck Hooten, for 37 memorable years. She is survived by her loving daughters, Christy Lou Hooten and Rebecca Ann Hooten, and her caring son-in-law, Dewayne Sparks and Rome Chambers. Her life will continue to be celebrated by her cherished grandchildren, Klayton Sparks and Hadlea Sparks, and her brother, Walter Steele Jr. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family who will remember her fondly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Diane Steele, and her grandchild, Dixie Prater.
In keeping with Leslie's wishes, no services are planned at this time. Cremation services are under the direction of Ronk Funeral Home.
We invite all who knew Leslie to leave memories and upload photos on her memorial page. This tribute will serve as a comforting reminder of the loving, thoughtful, and supportive woman she was.
