Judy Ann Gilliland

–

Friendship, Tennessee

Judy Ann Gilliland, a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, of Friendship, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on July 4, 1957, she dedicated her life to caring for others, both professionally as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Alamo Nursing Home and personally, as a beacon of steadfast love and support for her family. "The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness," said Honoré de Balzac, and these words resonated deeply with Judy who was a loving mother to her children and a doting grandmother to her grandchildren.

Judy was a woman of many passions, which included her unwavering support for the Steelers football team. She also worked at Linda's Cafe and the Crockett County High School cafeteria, always welcoming everyone with her warm smile. But it was her family that mattered most to her. Judy is survived by her children Robert Gilliland (Jo Anne), Monica Gilliland, and Crystal Glidwell; her sisters Darlene Littrell (Mike), Barbara Walters, and Donna Glidwell; her grandchildren John Henry Gilliland (Abby), Dakota Gilliland, Cheyenne Enfinger, Felicia Glidwell, and Brianna Sanford; and her great-grandchildren Kane Enfinger and Axle Reasons. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Maudie Walters; Her husband, Robert Gilliland and her brother, Danny Walters.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 1:00pm at Nance Cemetery conducted by Stephen Sutton. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

As we remember and celebrate Judy's life, we invite you to share your memories of her and upload photos to the memorial page. Judy's love and spirit live on in each of us, and in sharing our memories, we keep her close to our hearts.
