John Newman

John Allen was born March 11, 1952 and passed on April 26, 2023 at the age of 71. He leaves behind his wife Wanda; daughter, Amanda Shelan Fisher (Josh); son, Derek Wesley Newman; grandsons, Eli, Jeremiah, and Wesley; sister, Rhonda Parker (Terry); brother, Alvin Newman along with several nieces and nephews.

John Allen Newman was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and John Newman; brother, Timmy Wayne Newman and Larry Eugene Newman

He retired from ACH in February of 2020 where he was the ammonia refrigeration technician. Shortly after retirement he started working for Ronk Funeral doing retrievals, working funerals and whatever else was needed of him. He was also very prominent in Maury City Church of God where he filled in for brother Rowdy Davis preaching a service when needed, he was the church treasurer and he taught the Sunday school senior class.

John Allen Newman was loved and respected by many and will surely be missed by as many.

Funeral services for John Allen will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 29, 2023, in the chapel of Ronk Funeral Home with Bro. Rowdy Davis officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.

Burial with honors will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 1, 2023, at the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Wildersville, TN. Those would like to attend can follow the funeral procession and family. The funeral procession will leave at 9:00 a.m. from Ronk Funeral Home.
