Jesse Wayne Fletcher

–

Holladay, Tennessee

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Jessie "Wayne" Fletcher on October 12, 2024. Jesse was born on December 8, 1948, in Gadsden, TN, and resided in Holladay, TN. He was a dedicated and talented logger, who spent his retirement engaging in his hobbies of fishing and motorcycles. Wayne was a man who found joy in the simplest things in life but had his life's greatest fulfillment in his family and his faith in God. Wayne proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army, demonstrating unwavering dedication, honor, and patriotism throughout his service.

Wayne was the proud owner of Waynes Logging Company. With an unparalleled dedication, he was able to build a successful business that was a testament to his talent and hard work. He had an unwavering love for the outdoors, reflected in his passion for his work and his hobbies. As an avid fisherman, Wayne spent many peaceful hours on the river. His love for motorcycles was not just a hobby, but a testament to his zest for life and his insatiable curiosity. As Albert Einstein once said, "I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious." Jesse was the embodiment of this quote, always eager to learn and apply his knowledge in practical ways.

Wayne is survived by his daughters, Amy Fletcher and Kelly Fletcher Goodrich; his sisters, LeeAnn Worley and Jimmie (Don) Thompson; his grandchildren, Britany (Walter) Thompson Dorado, Daphne Joyner, Pate Parrish, Kylee Goodrich, and TJ Goodrich; his great-grandchildren, Arlo Breeze McCoy, Amelia Thompson, Angelina Montoya, and Sparrow Grace Montoya; and his nieces and nephews, Stacey, Amanda, Lesley, Michelle, Lora, Anna, Connie, Tracey, Brandon, and Joshua. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Edna Fletcher; his sister, Treva Fletcher; his nieces, Teri and Gari; and his brothers, Guy and Leslie Haynes.

As we remember Wayne, let us celebrate his love for life, his dedicated spirit, his talent in his work, and his unwavering love for his family and his faith. A celebration of life honoring Jesse Wayne Fletcher will be held at a later date. We encourage family and friends to leave memories and upload photos to the memorial page, to share and cherish the life of our loving Jesse.
