Jerry Mcneal Peal Obituary (1937 - 2016)

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry McNeal Peal, age 79, will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016, at Cairo Church of Christ beginning at 2:00 PM with Larry Harper officiating. Interment will follow in the Cairo Cemetery in Alamo, Tennessee. Mr. Peal was born on October 26, 1937, to the late James Oral Peal and Nannie Fae Revelle Peal in Alamo, Tennessee. Jerry worked for the post office for thirteen years as a sub-rural letter carrier, then thirteen years as a full route 1 carrier. He began school in a one room school house from 1943-1948, then graduated from Hamlett Robertson High School in 1955. He also served in the Army National Guard from 1955-1962. He was also an EZ Specialist and drove a jeep for Dick Jerman. Mr. Peal was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Franklin Peal. Surviving relatives are his loving wife, Carolyn Peal; Son, Jerry Lynn Peal; daughters, Alisa Hale (James), and Amanda Smith (Mannie); brother, James Larry Peal (Pat); grandchildren, Joseph Lee Smith, James Tyler Smith, Ethan Zachary Peal, and Anna Katelyn Peal. The family requests if you would like to make donations, please do so to N.O.A.H of Crockett County in memory of their loved one. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2016, in the chapel of Ronk Funeral Home from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Jim Stewart, Karel Riddick, Frank Moore, Mike Scallions, Roland Clement, and Larry Bushart.
