Jane Brasfield Carnal

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jane Brasfield Carnal, born Nerine Jane Brasfield on March 30, 1935, in Gadsden, Tennessee. A loving, inspiring, and generous soul, Jane left us on November 24, 2025. Her life was a testament to the words of Helen Keller: "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." Jane's heart was always open and nurturing to those around her.

Jane was a proud resident of Alamo, Tennessee. As the dedicated owner of the Alamo Fashion Shoppee, she brought elegance and style to Crockett County. Her passion for her work was matched only by her love for her community. A devoted member of Alamo 1st Baptist Church, Jane was also an active participant in the Red Hat Ladies Club. After retirement, she cherished her time traveling with her cousin Liz Isbell, being an avid reader, and simply enjoying life. Her family was her greatest joy and what mattered most to her.

Jane is survived by her sons, Steven Carnal (Beverly) and Lynn Carnal (Toshiko); her brother, Doug Brasfield; and her grandchildren, Clint Carnal (Jennifer), Suzanne Green, Charles Totaro Carnel (Hillary), Lana Haru Lambert (Matt), and Gina Carpenter (Peyton). She also leaves behind a legacy of love with her 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren. Jane was predeceased by her parents, Alphonza and Nova Cherry Brasfield; her siblings, Florence Kinzer, Reuel, Rachel, Travis, and Jim Brasfield.

A funeral service to honor Jane's life will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025 at 11:00am in the chapel of Ronk Funeral Home conducted by Bro. David Brinkley. A visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00am until 11:00am at the same location. Burial will follow in Alamo City Cemetery.
