James Harold Nail Jr.

James Harold Nail, Jr., was born in Grenada, MS, on September 23, 1946, to James Harold Nail, Sr., and Angie Inez Beckwith Nail. He passed away on August 11, 2022, in Jackson, TN, at the age of 75. He was a hardworking, loving, and giving man, who served honorably in the United States Army from 1963-1966 during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 42 years, Myrtle Earlene "Penny" Ellett Nail; brother, Stacy Nail; and bonus daughter, Michelle Lumley McMahon.

He is survived by his wife, Nelda Vinson Nail, of Alamo, TN; sons Dwayne (Jackie) Nail and Chris Nail, of Tillatoba, MS; grandson Justin Dwayne Nail; granddaughter Tristian LeAnn Nail Taylor; great-grandchildren Jasmine Dawn Nail and Lilly Agnes Taylor; brother Danny Nail; and niece Sarah Nail. He is also survived by bonus daughters, Amy Yasky of Byhalia, MS; Frances (Eric) Van Atta of Bells, TN; and Lorrie Bevan of Memphis, TN; as well as bonus grandchildren, Jessica, Benjamin, Tessa, Julia, Madison, Laura, Kile, Sophia, and Georgia, along with numerous bonus great-grandchildren.

The family is planning a memorial service at Tillatoba (MS) Baptist Church. Details will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation.
