We are gathered in remembrance and celebration of the life of an inspiring and remarkable individual, Howell Revelle, lovingly known as "Happy Hal" to his friends and family. Born on the 12th of December, 1950, Howell's life was marked by his charismatic nature, his supportive spirit, and an unwavering love for his family. His journey on this earth was a testament to his resilience; he was a golden glove boxer in his youth, a successful businessman who owned Happy Hal's Hamburgers, and a noble warrior who triumphed over pancreatic cancer in 2023.
Howell Revelle was a man of many talents and interests. He managed numerous restaurants in Crockett County, including Dairy Queen, for many years, and his affinity for serving the community was evident in his career as a Security Officer at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Despite his busy schedule, Howell always found time for leisure, often indulging in watching westerns, a hobby he greatly enjoyed. His infectious enthusiasm and zest for life are beautifully encapsulated in the words of Maya Angelou, "My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style."
Howell was a devout member of the Faith Independent Church and a caring family man, who cherished his 50-plus years of marriage to his beloved wife, Debra Revelle. Their bond was one of mutual respect, admiration, and profound love. Howell's legacy is carried forward by his son, Lee Revelle, and his brother-in-law, Buddy Jenkins. He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Revelle, his mother, Clara Revelle, his sister, Elizabeth Revelle, brother, Tommy Revelle, and sister-in-law, Elaine Ball.
A visitation will be held for Howell on Monday, 14th of October, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Ronk Funeral Home, 106 South Bells Street, Alamo, Tennessee, 38001. The funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, 15th of October, 2024 at 11:00 am at the same location. Burial will follow in Nance Cemetery.
Howell's life was a beautiful testament to his resilience, diligence, and love for his family and community. His memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
