Gertie Louise Moore Sienknecht Obituary (1931

Ms. Gertie Louise Moore Sienknecht ascended to her forever home, Monday, September 20, 2021. After a Joyous return to her childhood home in January of this year she was busy making up for lost time. Spring flower planting, garden growing, baby chicken feedings, front porch waving, wheeling around her yard, and going to church at Pond Creek Methodist Church. When summer arrived it was purple hull pea shelling, snapping green beans, gun shopping and restaurant hopping. Grandma told us she was tired and ready to move on. Chris and I are grateful for the time we had to spend with grandma. We loved Seeing her smile, laugh, and even being a little mischievous. The last of her days she was happy and at peace. Her father Franklin Moore "Granddaddy Moore"; Mother, Gertrude Carman Moore "Granny"; her brother, Bobby Moore "Uncle Bobby"; her daughter, Carla Ann Cole; son, Dan Roberts were all laid to rest before her. She left behind her eldest daughter, Tricia Roberts Griffith, and her youngest son, David Roberts; seven grandchildren, Brian Barnes (Cecilia), Holly Coulter (Chris), Dustin Roberts, Aaron Roberts, Shayla Griffith, "Little" David Roberts, and Amber Smith (Justen); ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren. Fulfilling grandma's wishes we will have a graveside service at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 24, 2021, at Oakview Memorial Gardens in Alamo, TN. Sandra Latham will host Grandmas' Celebration of Life reception at, 55 Vine Street, Maury City, TN, immediately following the service.
