Fred Stephenson

Funeral services for Mr. Fred Stephenson, age 89, will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Ronk funeral Home with Dennis McMahan officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery with military honors.
Mr. Fred passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at the Crockett County Nursing Home and Rehab Center.
Fred was born on November 01, 1927, to the late James Edward Stephenson and Anna Buckingham Stephenson in Alamo, Tennessee.
He served our county proudly in the United States Army. Fred and his wife June Carolyn Stephenson were married for almost sixty-two years.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jay Stephenson; brother, Farrow Stephenson; sisters, Katie Byrd, Louise Reasons, and Margaret Hardin.
Surviving relatives are his loving wife, June Carolyn Stephenson, sons, Jimmy Stephenson, Bucky Stephenson (Jessica); daughters, Deborah Leszek (Joe), Penny Roland (Rick); sister, Shelby Hankins; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Ronk Funeral Home.
Pallbearers for the service will be Tommy Stallings, Jason Roland, Jonathon Roland, Bucky Stephenson, James Stephenson, and Trai Stephenson. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Dale Hunt, and Jerry Spann.
