Fred James Ferguson

Funeral services for Mr. Fred James Ferguson, age 96, will be Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 3:30 pm at the United Methodist Church in Gadsden with Rev. Bill Tate and Jonathan Wheeler officiating.
Visitations at the church from 1:30 pm until time of service. Interment will follow in Salem Church Cemetery near Gadsden.
Pallbearers for the service are: Paul Stringham, Gary Lovett, Billy Ray Lovett, Jerry Lovett, Douglas Depoister, and Randy Terry.

Fred passed away December 18, 2019 in his home in Gadsden. He is preceded in death by his parents, G. Weldon Ferguson and Bertha Richards Ferguson; three sisters, Ruby Ferguson, Lois Boals, Georgia Stephens; and two brothers, A.L. and Bobby Ferguson.
Surviving is his wife, Maude Tatum Ferguson; daughter, Jo Beth Hastings (Michael); granddaughter, Kelly Maliska (Mike); and great grandchildren, Chloe and Kylie- Beth Maliska.
Fred was a member of the Gadsden United Methodist Church, Gadsden Ruritan Club, Crockett County Veterans Memorial; Retired Merchant, Memphis Post Office, Shrumer Scottish Rite, 32nd Degree Mason, and a farmer.
Fred lived by the Golden Rule "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." He loved his church and his family.
