Frances Jones Proctor, aged 80, of Bells, Tennessee, passed away on August 23, 2026. Frances was born on May 31, 1946, in Friendship, Tennessee, to Noble and Josie Lee Jones. Known as a loving and inspiring figure, she devoted her life to nurturing her family and serving her community.
Frances was a dedicated professional who served as the Vice President of Bells Banking Co. before her retirement. Despite her busy career, she always made time for her passions. A devout woman, she enjoyed reading and researching the Bible, teaching Sunday School classes, and serving as a Bible drill instructor. Frances loved to color and bake for her friends and family, often attending her grandchildren's events and games. She was a huge Alan Jackson fan and adored the time spent with her family, particularly her grandchildren. However, her greatest joy was derived from her role as Nana.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Proctor Tucker; her son, Harold Edward Proctor; her brothers, Kenneth Jones (Betty) and Durwood Jones (Yvonne); her sister-in-law, Nancy Jones; her grandchildren, Rachel Vaden (Ryan), Josie Mae Tucker, Samuel Proctor, and Noah Proctor; and her great-grandchild, Banks Vaden. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Proctor; her parents, Noble and Josie Jones; her brothers, Gene and Gary Jones; her sister-in-law, Marie Jones and Annette Riddick; and her brother-in-law, Davie Lee Riddick.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Ronk Funeral Home, 106 South Bells Street, Alamo, Tennessee, 38001. The funeral service will follow at the same location at 5:00 pm conducted by Bro. Ken Spegal. Burial will be in Robertson Cemetery.
