Faye Carter Mcateer

Faye Carter McAteer, age 94 formerly of Memphis, TN went to meet her precious Savior, Jesus Christ, Tuesday night, December 18, 2018. A native of Crockett County was the daughter of the late Harles and Holland Carter of Johnson Grove, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward McAteer, Sr.

Mrs. McAteer is survived by her sons, Edward McAteer, Timothy McAteer, Linda McAteer (daughter-in-law); grandchildren, Eddie McAteer (Lauri), Jennifer Sanders (Ricky), Jonathan McAteer (Tabitha), Michael McAteer, Rachel Pruitt (Grayson), Daniel McAteer; greatchildren, Ashley McAteer, Audrey McAteer, Shelby Sanders, Adrienna McAteer, Cameron Sanders, Rilyn McAteer, Evan McAteer, Braden McAteer, Avery, Calley Sanders, Micky McAteer, and Kaitlyn McAteer.

Faye graduated in 1945 from Memphis State with a double major, worked at the Veterans' Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee right after World War II, taught school and influenced many young children's lives. She spent a good portion of her working life side by side with her husband, Ed, in the work of the Religious Roundtable.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 20, 2018, from 4-7 PM. Service will be at 11 AM on Friday, December 21, 2018. Both visitation and service will be at Ronk Funeral Home in Alamo TN. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice- Alive Hospice was especially kind and compassionate to her and us.
