Dorothy Janet White, known affectionately as "Dottie," was called to Heaven on December 25, 2023. Born on April 24, 1938, in Paragould, Arkansas, she lived a life devoted to her family, her faith, and her passion for creating beautiful things with her hands. As a dedicated homemaker, she turned her house into a warm, welcoming home, and she spent countless hours sewing dresses, curtains, and pillows for her friends and family. Her loving care extended beyond her homemaking talents; she was a caregiver at heart, always there to support her loved ones when they needed her most.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jimmy White, and her parents, Herbert and Zelma Hogg. She leaves behind a daughter Stephanie Brown and her husband Garry, her brothers Leon Hogg and Jimmy Hogg and his wife Linda. Her grandchildren, Kylie Smith and husband Caleb, Caitlyn Moore and husband Miles, and Sydney Bonner and husband Lanier will always remember their grandmother's love and the beautiful items she crafted for them. She is also survived by her eight great grandchildren, Jamison, McLean, Piper, Nora Cait, Ava-Brown, William Cooper, Charlotte Ann, and Addison Neal.
A funeral service to honor Dorothy's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Ronk Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Howard officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be at the same venue on Thursday morning from 11:00 am until the hour of service.
We invite you to share your memories of Dorothy and upload photos to her memorial page, honoring her memory and the love she shared with us all. In Lieu of Flowers the family has asked that memorial donations be made to the Alamo First Baptist Church.
