Dorothy Qualls Obituary (1938 - 2023)

Dorothy Maedean Qualls passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023, at the age of 85. She was born August 30, 1938, in Alamo, TN, to the late Jeffie Morris and Hudie Goode Morris. Dorothy worked in the cafeteria at Bells Elementary School for many years until her retirement. She always loved being outside watching and feeding squirrels and other animals. She also enjoyed canning foods to share with her family and friends. Dorothy adored her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family and everyone who knew her. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 5:00 - 8:00 at Ronk Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at 2:00 pm, in the chapel of Ronk Funeral Home, officiated by Larry Harper. A burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery in Bells, TN. Survivors include her husband, Billy Qualls; daughter, Sandra Qualls; brother, James Morris; sister Audrey Redmond; grandchildren, Cassie Woods (Cody), Crystal Freeman (Chris), Brandon Qualls, Alicia Cecil (Chris), Blake Taylor, and seven great grandchildren. Dorothy is preceded in death by her sons, Bill Qualls, and Larry Qualls; sister, Willie Fern Sweat; nephews, Terry Sweat and Roy Redmond. Honoring Dorothy as pallbearers are Chris Cecil, Chris Freeman, Blake Taylor, Cody Woods, Brandon Qualls, and Coaldin Woods. Honorary pallbearers will be Cooper Cecil, and Lucas Freeman.
