Dorothy Aleene Tawater Cash Obituary (1924 - 2016)

Dorothy Aleene Tawater Cash Mrs. Dorothy Cash passed away peacefully on October 1, 2016 surrounded by family. Dorothy was born December 20, 1924 to the late Fenner and Lillie Mae Puckett Tawater. On December 20, 1942 she married Melvin Cash and celebrated 66 years of marriage before his passing in 2009. Dorothy was preceeded in death by her brother Martin Tawater. Surviving are daughter Anne (Jack) Faris of Brentwood, TN, granddaughter Danielle (Todd) Hulgan of Nashville, grandson Stephen Faris of Brentwood and 6 great grandchildren: Ford and Lillie Hulgan and Jackson, Alex, Milla and Caitlin Faris. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 on Wednesday, October 5, at Ronk Funeral Home in Alamo with a grave side service following in Oakview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Cash spent her last years in Franklin, TN to be near family, but she always considered Alamo her home.
