Doris "Jackie" Ruth Johnson Obituary (1932 - 2016)

Funeral Services for Mrs. Doris "Jackie" Johnson, age 84, will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2016, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Ronk Funeral Home with Pastor Rowdy Davis officiating. Entombment will follow in Oakview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Mrs. Johnson was born on August 31, 1932, to the late Jack Stephenson and Vermal Hancock Stephenson of Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harris Johnson; brothers, J.C. Stephenson, and Ed Stephenson; sister, Hilda Jean French. Surviving relatives are her son, Ricky Johnson (Velmar) of Jackson, Tennessee; daughter, Kathey Hunt (Bobby) of Covington, Tennessee; sister, Billy Keyser of (Irving, TX.); one grandchild, Skyler Johnson. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials in Mrs. Johnson's memory be made to Avalon Hospice, 620 Mall Blvd, Suite 82, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38024. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2016, from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM prior to the service hour. Special thanks to Avalon Hospice and River Terrace Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Covington, Tennessee for the care and compassion shown to our mother during her illness.
