Dent Conley Partee Obituary (1920

Dent Conley Partee went to be with the Lord on March 11, 2019 at age 99. A grave side service will be at Oakland Cemetery at 10:00 a m on Saturday March 16 with a memorial service following at 11:00 a. m. at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Walter Lockhart officiating. Mrs. Partee was born in Alamo, TN on January 8, 1920, the daughter of Robert and Eva Conley. She attended Union University in Jackson where she met B. A. Partee from Trenton. They were married in 1938 and moved to Trenton where she taught school for 30 years and was involved in many civic organizations and First Presbyterian Church. Through her years as a Sunday School teacher, Bible Study leader, docent for Trenton's famous teapot collection, tireless volunteer for Oakland Cemetery, and much more. Mrs. Partee received many honors in her very long life including being named a Parade Marshall in the Teapot Festival Parade, and receiving a Lifetime Service Award from her college fraternity, Chi Omega. Dent Partee left a legacy of service to Trenton that will be long remembered. She was actively serving until her illness. Mrs. Partee leaves her daughter, Dotty Claybrook (Lew) of Spring Hill, TN; grandson Chris Claybrook (Erika) of Nashville, TN; granddaughter Beth Halling, (Jim) of Dunn Loring, VA and 4 great-grandchildren: Bryce and Ellie Claybrook and Jace and Hudson Halling. She was preceded in death by her husband B. A. Partee and her grandson Lee Claybrook. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to First Presbyterian Church of Trenton or the Oakland Cemetery Committee of Trenton.
