Delores Rogers Banks

Delores Rogers Banks, a loving and talented woman of Bells, Tennessee, passed away on April 14, 2025, just shy of her 83rd birthday. Born in Maury City, TN, USA on July 10, 1942, to Homer and Opal Rogers, Delores was a creative spirit who found joy in nurturing both people and plants. Her dedication to caring for others was evident in her career with Mid-South Builders and her work with hospice following her retirement.

Delores was a woman of many talents, with a penchant for gardening, cooking, and interior design. It was often said that she could cook for anyone and everyone, and her home was an inviting oasis of warmth and hospitality. After her retirement, she further honed these talents by selling Mary Kay cosmetics, bringing beauty and joy to those around her. She was a member of the Alamo Church of Christ, and her faith played a significant role in her life. Above all, Delores cherished her family and grandchildren, who were the center of her world.

Delores is survived by her son, Mark Banks (Brenda); her sisters, Susan Baskin, Polly Jones, and Sharon Kail; her grandchildren, Madison Banks, Garrett Banks, Kimberly Sessions, and Vickie Akin (Matt); and her great-grandchildren, Brantley Sessions, Kelsey Akin, Keagan Akin, Kilian Akin, and Kamille Akin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Opal Rogers; her sister, Glenda Powell; and her son, Matt Banks.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at the Ronk Funeral Home, located at 106 South Bells Street, Alamo, Tennessee. A funeral service will follow at 1:00pm. As Maya Angelou once said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Delores' loving and creative spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.
