Darris Hopper Evans Obituary (1925 - 2015)

Funeral services for Mrs. Darris Hopper Evans, age 89, will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, February 2, 2015 at Alamo Church of Christ. Interment will follow in Alamo Cemetery. Mrs. Evans, a homemaker and seamstress, died January 31, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. She was born May 19, 1925 in Alamo, TN. Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband, Vann E. Evans; son, Tony Evans; sister, Virginia Shappley; great granddaughter, Olivia Destiny Evans. Surviving relatives include her sons, Thomas Vann Evans (Nancy), and James Wade Evans; Daughter, Linda Gale Jones (Donald); sister, Jean Cozart (Royal Lee); five grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Evans will be held Sunday, February 1, 2015 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Ronk Funeral Home.
