Clovis Sanderson Obituary (1934 - 2023)

Clovis Evelyn Carter Sanderson died June 8, 2023, at her home in Alamo, TN. after a long illness. She was born on August 11, 1934, to the late Herman Fulton and Johnnie Kail Carter. Ms. Clovis was also a bookkeeper for Crockett Utility District. She was also preceded in death by her husband : Donald Ray Sanderson and her step mother Ruby Carter. Clovis was raised by Herman and Ruby Carter from the age of 7. She is survived by her daughter's: Donna Hill (Murfreesboro, TN), daughter Kristin Bonds and husband Rick (Medon, TN), son, David Sanderson (Alamo, TN), and two grandchildren, Stacey Henderson, and Hollye Dabney: four great grandchildren, Jazmyn Couch, CynClair Henderson, Laken Dabney, and Emery Dabney. She also has two great great grandchildren - Kade, and Kaija Roberts. Mrs. Sanderson was the glue for the family as her husband served in the US Navy from 1950 to 1970. They were stationed all over the world, and occasionally separated due to his deployments. She spent her entire adult life playing the piano or organ for whatever church she attended - latest being First Baptist of Alamo. Funeral services will be held June 12, 2023, at Ronk Funeral Home in Alamo, TN. Visitation for Mrs. Sanderson will be from noon until time of 1:00 service. With David Brintley officiating Interment will be at Oak View Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Harvey Bradshaw, Laken Dabney, Rick Bonds, Tre Goldsby, Derek Holyfield, and Craig Cochran. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Baptist Church of Alamo Building Fund. There are no gallery images.
