Anne Brasfield Crossnoe

Funeral Services for Mrs. Anne Brasfield Crossnoe, of a certain age, will be held on Tuesday July 5, 2016 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Ronk Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cypress Cemetery.

Mrs. Crossnoe, of Jackson, TN, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis from complications of surgery.

She was born and raised in Crockett County, TN, and graduated from Bells High School in Bells, TN. Mrs. Crossnoe went on to Graduate from West Tennessee Business College before starting a career in business and education. She worked for the First Presbyterian Church and the National Bank of Commerce before joining Jackson State Community College where she worked alongside Dr. Walter Nelms for 30 years.

During her Tenure at JSCC, she became a Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) and completed her Associate of Science degree graduating Summa Cum Laude. She was a founding member of the American Business Women's Association and was named their Woman of the Year. She was raised in the Cypress Methodist Church and Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church in Crockett County and became a lifelong member of the West Jackson Baptist Church upon moving to Jackson. She was a member of the choir for many years and a featured soloist at churches throughout the Jackson area.

Anne spent a lifetime helping others and, in her last hours, her only thoughts were of family and friends. She sent her special blessings to each and every one of you. Our family would like to extend special thanks to her dear friend, Ray Murphey of Humboldt, TN, and the extraordinary nursing staff at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, in Memphis, TN.

Godspeed, Anne. You are sorely missed and dearly loved.

Mrs. Crossnoe is preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Annie Brasfield; Husband, Charles Crossnoe of Bells, TN.

She is survived by her son Steve Crossnoe (Lori Witmer) of Memphis, TN.

Visitation for Mrs. Crossnoe will be held Monday July, 4 2016 at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home in Jackson, TN from 5 until 8 p.m. There will also be a visitation at Ronk Funeral Home in Alamo, TN Tuesday July 5, 2016 from 2 p.m. until the service hour.
