Thomas Tucker

–

Brownsville, Tennessee

Thomas Wayne Tucker, born September 8, 1970, in Dyersburg, TN, passed away on August 15, 2026. Thomas spent most of his life in Alamo, Tennessee, where he left a lasting impact on his community through his passion for baseball. A gifted player himself, he was even offered a position with the Chicago White Sox, but chose to stay close to home for personal reasons. Instead, he dedicated his life to coaching, guiding young players from little league to Babe Ruth and traveling teams.

Thomas had a keen eye for the sport and a heart for mentorship, but his interests extended beyond the baseball diamond. He was known among his friends and family for his skill at shooting pool and his love for cooking. Many a meal was shared in laughter and camaraderie around Thomas's kitchen table. A fan of wrestling, he would often enjoy watching matches with his boys, his favorite wrestler being The Rock & The Great Khali. He was also an avid UT Vols fan.

Thomas is survived by his mother, Hester Rene Tucker; his sister, Crystal Renea Tucker; his children, Brittney Nicole Tucker, Christen Renee Tucker, Steven Dewayne Tucker, Thomas Wayne Porter, John Dylan Porter, and Heaven Danyell Porter; and his grandchildren, Brooklyn RheaTucker, Adrienne JeRea Burrell, Ezekiel Kyle Tucker, Ezra Chase Taylor, Madelyn Grace Henson, and Savannah Maelynn Moore. He was preceded in death by his father Carl Wayne Tucker and his granddaughter Lainey Jane Henson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 12:00 pm at Ronk Funeral Home, located at 106 South Bells Street, Alamo, Tennessee, 38001. The funeral service will follow at the same location at 2:00 pm, officiated by Ronnie Parker. Burial will immediately follow the services at Nance Cemetery, in Alamo, TN.

His rich legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the community that he served. Your stories and pictures will help to keep his memory alive for generations to come.
