Sally Ann Johnson

–

Alamo, Tennessee

Sally Ann Johnson, age 65, passed peacefully on August 3, 2026, at her home surrounded by loved ones.

Born on January 8th of 1961, Sally was the daughter of the late Henry Johnson and Nannie Mae "Big Mama" Johnson.

Sally found joy in the simple things in life and had a personality that those around her will never forget. She was a devoted caregiver to her many stuffed animals and baby dolls, especially her beloved doll, "Linda," whom many may remember. Sally loved jewelry and was rarely found without wearing several necklaces and bracelets at one time. She was a fashionista, known for her oversized sunglasses, colorful headbands, and her unique sense of style. She also enjoyed coloring books, magazines, and looking through newspaper advertisements.

In 1999, the Alamo Nursing Home became Sally's home, a place she shared with her mother, "Big Mama." After her mother's passing, Sally remained there and continued to make it her home for the next 26 years.

For more than two decades, the Alamo Nursing Home was much more than a residence to Sally; it became her family. She looked forward to activities, treasured the friendships she made, and dearly loved the caregivers who cared for her each day. In return, the staff and residents loved Sally just as much. Her family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, aides, and staff members who showed Sally such kindness, compassion, and love throughout the years. They find great comfort in knowing that she was surrounded by people who truly cared for her.

Left to cherish her memory are her nephew, Collin; her sister-in-law, Connie Gregory; her bestie, Carol Gregory Webb, affectionately known as "Naked Nude"; and the many friends, caregivers, and staff members who became part of her extended family over the years.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Bret Johnson, and her niece, Mallory Johnson

Although Sally's life was simple by the world's standards, the love she gave and the joy she brought to others were immeasurable. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family invites everyone who knew and loved Sally to visit her memorial page and share photographs, memories, and words of encouragement as a tribute to a life well lived. Each story shared is a reminder of the love, laughter, and happiness Sally brought to so many throughout her life. Ronk Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Sally Ann Johnson.
