Frank Mitchell

–

Humboldt, Tennessee

Frank Brown Mitchell, age 82, of Humboldt, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2026. Born January 25, 1944, in Charleston, Mississippi, Frank was a man of great faith, strength, and compassion. He was a dedicated member of the Eastside Baptist Church in Memphis, TN, where he selflessly drove the bus for the Children's Ministry and the Deaf Ministry. He embodied the verse from Matthew 25:40, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."

Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After his service, he had a fulfilling career in industrial maintenance before retiring. Frank had a zest for life, which was evident in his various hobbies. He loved antiquing, hunting, fishing, and was a collector of vintage bottles and Coca Cola memorabilia. He was also an avid dancer and an excellent cook, delighting family and friends with his delicious chocolate pies, fudge, and spiced pecans.

Frank is survived by his daughters, Rebecca (Randy) Porter, Debra (Chris) Haley, and Tammie (James) Wyatt, his son, Barry (Lelah) Scott. He also leaves behind grandchildren Jeremy Ward, Brittany McNeal, Amanda (Preston) Brown, Aaron Porter, and one great grandchild, Bridget Ward. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Brown and Elizabeth Mitchell, his first wife, Beverly Ann Wagner Mitchell, his late wife, Carran Mitchell, his granddaughter, Kimberlie Ward, and his brother, Wilson Spencer Mitchell.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 11:00 am at Ronk Funeral Home, 106 South Bells Street, Alamo, Tennessee, followed by the funeral service at 12:30 pm. Burial will take place at 3:00 pm at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery & Funeral Home, 6755 U.S. 51, Millington, Tennessee.

We invite all who knew and loved Frank to share their memories and upload photos to his memorial page. Celebrate his beautiful life by remembering the joy he brought to all our lives.

Franks favorite bible verse was Romans 10:9-10: If you declare with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord', and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved
