David Byon Thomas

David Byon Thomas, age 58, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at his residence.

David was born on July 19, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late David Byon Thomas Sr. and Juanita Thomas.

David enjoyed the simple things in life and had several hobbies that kept him busy through the years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycles, playing pool, and spending time fishing. He also had a special interest in koi fish and took great pride in building and creating a beautiful koi pond, where he cared for many koi over the years. David was especially fond of his faithful canine companion, Tessa, who was rarely far from his side.

He is survived by his significant other, Carol Rose Blurton; his stepmother, Marilyn Thomas; his sister, Traci Reddish; a nephew, Jeremy Ellington (Melissa); a niece, Carly Whitney (Terry); step-siblings, Rodney Bowen, Eric Kowal, and Bradley Kowal; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and other extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, Renee Taylor.

Cremation services are under the direction of Ronk Funeral Home. A memorial service to honor David will be held at a later date.

David will be remembered by those who knew and loved him for the life he lived, the things he enjoyed, and the many memories shared with family and friends.
